My Thoughts

I’m ashamed to say this is the first Clare Lydon book I read, because she is a brilliant writer.  I could see so much of myself in Scarlet that it made it easy to put myself in her place and experience the story through her eyes.  And I’m not going to lie ladies, the saucy scenes are bloody brilliant – trust me.  I even found a slight appreciation for football while reading this (but I don’t expect it’ll stick).    I loved how the Joy and Scarlet were at opposing ends of the personality spectrum and how Clare Lydon manages to finesse each of them gently into becoming friends, and then perhaps something more?  I won’t spoil the story but trust me – it’s a good one!

Gabrielle Baker is a perfect pairing for this story, her engaging voice manages to capture the essence of each character and really brings a great story up to another level.

I felt like my own little ray of sunshine at the end of this, and almost immediately went off to find more Clare Lydon books which is the smart move here.  So for all my lesfic fans out there – go out and gobble up all of the Clare Lydon books you can find.  You will thank me later!
